Workshops

Mark Thomson’s poetry workshops are lively and loud and not to be missed. Mark is passionate about the Scots language and his own Dundonian dialect and encourages everyone to find their voice and be proud of ‘whar thi cum fae’. In a fun and stimulating world full of words that can mean different things to different people, Mark will make you remember words you didn’t know you’d forgotten.

Mark works with people to get them to put down on paper what’s going on in their lives and in their heads. He encourages them to write the way they talk, to take a pride in their own identity and voice and to use it full effect!

Mark’s proven ability to reach those ‘at risk’, ‘hard to reach’ ‘and those ‘not in education, employment or training’ or anyone else, with any other label society cares to give them has resulted in his working with a diverse range of organizations, some of whom are listed below.
